Cleaning grout can be a tricky business. While dealing with dirty tiles can be quite simple and quick, grout requires time and skills. Filthy grout lines make your floor look dull and messy, even with the cleanest and most expensive tiles. Fortunately, there are some products in your home you can use as a first aid to clean up that nightmare.

  1. Vinegar

Yes, you heard it well. Regular vinegar can help you bring back the sparkle to your old floors. How to clean floor grout with vinegar? Simple! All you have to do is make a 1:1 solution of white vinegar and water, and mop your floor with it. Vinegar is quite a healthy alternative to other cleaning products. It doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients and it’s quite cheap. Vinegar is completely safe for both the environment and your family.

  1. Oxygenated Bleach

Oxygenated Bleach can damage colored grout, but you don’t have to worry about your tiles. It is gentle enough for all tile types. You should mix two tablespoons of oxygenated bleach with two cups of warm water and there you go. Your grout cleaning product is ready for use

  1. Hydrogen Peroxide, Baking Soda, and Dish Soap

Mix ¾ cup baking soda, ¼ cup hydrogen peroxide, and 1 tablespoon dish soap. This highly effective soda should be applied directly on the grout between tiles. After 15 minutes, you can just wash it with hot or warm water.
